SERVICES WE OFFER
On-Site Repairs
These are more extensive repairs outside of the scope of those included in either service package. The list is not exhaustive. Standard repair rate is $80/hour billed in 15-minute increments. Parts and materials are billed separately.
Quick & Easy Repairs
$80/hour
Quick & Easy repairs can often be done during a regular piano service appointment. This might include:
- Glue on key tops
- Deal with a few sticking keys
- Replace a broken plain wire string
- Repair broken hammers or whippens
- Minor damper issues
These will be billed at the standard repair rate.
Not So Quick & Easy Repairs
$80/hour + parts
More extensive, not so quick & easy repairs require a separate service appointment. Replacement parts may need to be ordered or special tools or equipment may be needed. Repairs that fall into this category include:
- Broken wound string replacement
- Replacing multiple broken plain wire strings
- Repairing or replacing broken action parts
- Repairs to upright actions that require removal of the action
- Major damper problems
Additional Comments and Terms Regarding Repairs
All repairs will be discussed prior to any work being done.
A deposit of 50% may be requested for any repairs requiring custom parts or shop repairs.
